North Georgia's suite-style housing is located on Sunset Drive, on the west part of campus next to the Health and Natural Sciences building. In addition, the Walker Drive parking deck is conveniently located adjacent to the residence hall. This building houses up to 598 freshmen and upperclassmen, divided between two buildings and connected by one central atrium. Approximately 30 students live in a community on a hallway, with 88 students on each floor. Suites are single gender, and most hallways are single gender as well. Lewis Annex is a traditional residence hall built in 1964 with two floors and 51 rooms for 96 residents. It currently houses both freshmen and upperclassmen. All community bathrooms are single gender. There are approximately 25 residents per floor, with one Resident Assistant (RA) per floor. There are two residents per room and beds may be bunked or lofted. Tools to create bunk beds provided by Residence Life.

Lewis Hall is a traditional style residence hall built in 1952, with four floors and 117 rooms housing up to 206 upperclassmen. There are approximately 24 residents per floor, with one Resident Assistant (RA) per floor. There are single and double occupancy rooms. Tools to create bunk beds are provided by Residence Life.

Constructed in 2001 and named for Dr. John H. Owen, this co-ed residence hall is a five-story brick building containing 76 four-bedroom/two-bath apartments housing up to 314 residents in single gender apartments. The contract for Owen Hall residents will run mid-August until the last day of finals for summer courses. It is staffed with eight resident assistants and one resident director.

New for fall 2016, The Commons is a co-ed residence hall complex that houses freshmen and upperclassmen students in both single occupancy and double occupancy suite-style housing. The Commons is conveniently located across the street from the University of North Georgia (UNG) Dining Hall and adjacent to the Walker Drive residential parking deck. Each floor offers free laundry with the exception of Building 1 400s floor.  Each floor offers one lounge area per hall as well as a snack room or kitchen.  The two bedroom, one bathroom suites are fully furnished, each bedroom includes one twin bed with a XL twin mattress, a chair, desk, chest, and closet per resident.  Closets in The Commons do not contain doors to allow for flexible storage.

Patriot Hall is suite-style housing, which opened in fall 2010 to house students in the University of North Georgia's (UNG) Corps of Cadets. Patriot Hall is located in the center of campus in close proximity to the Library Technology Center, Owen Hall, and most academic buildings. There will be civilian Resident Assistants to assist residents on the 4th floor community. Cadets will be living on floors 1-3 of Patriot Hall in co-ed companies.
